  Bapteme: Le 9 octobre 1855, par nous pretre cure soussigne, a ete baptise Abraham, ne la veille, du legitime mariage d'Abraham Lavoie, voyageur et d'Onesime Couvrette courant de cette paroisse. Parrain Jerome Lavoie, marraine Louise Millaire, qui ainsi que le pere n'ont su signer. P.C. Dube pretre. She may be the one called "Nellie" in the 1901 census. 1901 Census for Ottawa T-6488 Ottawa Ward, Division D6, page 10, line 47 Went by the name of Abraham, was 46 years of age, his birth date being confirmed as the 8th October 1855, occupation was that of "teamster" (drove a team of horses for CNR), was self employed, worked 12 months of the year and had made $300.00 that year. He was fully bilingual (read,write,speak English and French). 1911 Census for Ottawa, Ottawa Ward, District 32, page 16, line 24 lives at 22 Metcalf Square. Il est contre-maitre. Seulement Antoine, Lucia, Wilfrid demeure a la maison. He is said to be living at Hospice St-Charles at the time of his death in 1935, according to Notre-Dame cemetery registers. The St-Charles Home operated by the superior mothers of Ste Camille, was located on 159 Water according to 1914 Ottawa Might Directory.
