  Passed away peacefully on the 12th of October, 2021, at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late Henri Lessard and the late Rose Lafleur. Beloved wife of late Jean-Charles Whissell for over 60 years. Cherished mother of Francine (late Dan), Suzanne (Daniel), Charles (Louise), Jo-Anne (Michael), Lynne (Terry) and Pierre (Josée). Loving grandmother of Marlena, Kenneth, Ashley, Kyle, Kayla, Philip, Patrick, Chantal, Danielle, Jean-Michel, Casie, Suzanne-Lynne, Tanya-Lynne, Brooke, Keanen, Roxanne, Joel, Mathieu, Jean-Paul and great-grandmother of 25. She was predeceased by her siblings Florence, Gerald, Robert, Georgette. Cécile also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on the third floor, section A, of the St-Louis Residence in Orleans, for their excellent care and devotion. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica (385 Sussex Drive, Ottawa). In memory of Cécile, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
