3 Novembre 1772
St Laurent, Montréal

In the year seventeen hundred and seventy two, the 3rd day of November, following the publication of three marriage banns made during the announcements of the high mass during three consecutive Sundays, and without having found any impediment other than spiritual kinship for which they have received dispensation as it appears by the letters of Monseignior Briand, bishop of Quebec, between René Lavoye, son of Jean Baptiste Lavoye and the late Catherine Aubry Thècle, his parents, and Marguerite Montpellier, daughter of the late Jean Baptiste Montpellier Beaulieu and of Marie Anne Turcot her parents from this parish of another part. I, undersigned priest, after having received their mutual marriage consent, have given them the nuptual blessings in the presence of Jean Baptiste Lavoye father, Jean Baptiste Lavoye brother, Jacques Dubeau and Joseph Beaulieu who have declared being unable to write nor sign after being asked to do so.
